DEVELOPMENT OF LEARNING MEDIA SMART BOOK TO IMPROVE UNDERSTANDING OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS IN SCIENCE LEARNING

This research is motivated by the problems in elementary schools, namely learning media that are not yet varied and limitations of tools materials process. The this development to (a) determine attractiveness smart book process on animal life cycle material (b) level students' understanding after using media. method Research Development (R&D) type ADDIE model, which has five stages: analyze, design, development, implementation, evaluation. design was a one-group pre-test post-test with before-after experiments. carried out at SDN Baban 1 Sumenep, 30 fourth-grade students as tested subjects. instruments used obtain data were observation, questionnaires achievement tests outcomes. results trial obtained percentage 96.8%. increasing, seen from average score 60.3% value 84.2%; it can be inferred effectively t-test significance 0.05 t-count = 5,542 > t-table 1,699, means t-table. These prove there differences before for (metamorphosis).
 Abstrak: 
 Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi pada masalah yang ditemukan di sekolah dasar yaitu pembelajaran belum bervariatif, serta keterbatasan alat dan bahan dalam proses pembelajaran. pengembangan bertujuan untuk mengetahui daya tarik materi daur hidup hewan tingkat pemahaman siswa setelah menggunakan book. Metode penelitian model tipe (R&D), memiliki lima tahapan analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, evaluasi. Desain adalah one group dengan sebelum-sesudah eksperimen. dilaksanakan Sumenep subjek uji coba kelas IV. Instrumen digunakan memperoleh observasi, angket tes ketercapaian hasil belajar. Hasil dilakukan IV diperoleh persentase sebesar 96,8%. Tingkat meningkat, terlihat dari nilai rata-rata 60,3% 84,2%; dapat dikatakan bahwa efektif uji-t taraf signifikansi 0,05 t-hitung t-tabel 1,699 berarti t-tabel. tersebut membuktikan terdapat perbedaan sebelum sesudah (metamorfosis).
